Goals of Calvary’s Youth Ministry:
Discipleship (Luke 9:23–24, Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:16–20, John 8:31–38)
o At Calvary, we want to teach biblical principles to the youth in a way
that they can utilize every teaching and apply it to their walk with Christ.
o We want the youth to continuously grow in their faith and continue to
live out God’s will for their life.
o Our goal in Calvary’s youth ministry to guide young people in a way
that exemplifies Christlike behavior.

Meaningful Relationships (Proverbs 27:17, Proverbs 17:17, John 15:13)
o Our goal in Calvary’s youth ministry is to build meaningful and
lasting relationships with our students.
o We want them to have a safe place to grow in their faith while
knowing that they are loved by everyone in our church.
o Meaningful relationships with both the youth and their parents allow
for incredible discipleship and evangelism opportunities.

Student Leadership (1 Timothy 4:12, Philippians 2:3, Proverbs 3:4-5)
o One of the greatest goals for our youth ministry to encourage and
allow students to grow in their leadership ability in ministry. We want
our students to feel comfortable and prepared when an opportunity to
share the love of Christ or the gospel presents itself.
o Student leadership gives our students the opportunity to learn to lead
in a ministry setting and also the opportunity to gain the skills to lead
in their everyday environments.
o We want to promote opportunities for our students to serve in many
different capacities in our church.

Programming (Matthew 18:20)
o Our youth ministry has many programming opportunities that include
summer camps, DNOWs, retreat weekends, spot trips, etc. These
programming elements are always planned with the intent of our three
mission focuses: Gather, Grow, and Go.
o Every event we plan has a purpose with one of these mission focuses.
With one of these mission focuses being the reasoning behind the
event, our church’s youth is able to attract new students and also
continue to disciple current students.

Partnering with Parents/Guardians and Volunteers (Deuteronomy 6:7–9,
Exodus 20:12, Psalm 78:4)
o The final goal of our youth is not only to connect and build
relationships with our students, but we also want to connect with the
parents on the same level. Parents and guardians have one of the
greatest impacts on their child and their spiritual walk with Christ, so
our youth program wants to play apart in both the students and parents
lives to be a support system for both parties.
o Another focus of our youth program is the volunteers that serve in a
variety of aspects in our students lives. Our youth program wants to
support them in every aspect we can.

their ability. Our youth program also wants to be a full support system
