At Calvary Baptist, we believe that church membership is a significant step in your faith journey, as you become part of a loving and supportive family of believers. We encourage you to seek God’s direction in prayer as you consider joining our fellowship, remembering that we are called to serve and love one another just as Christ loves us (John 13:34-35). There are three ways to become a member of our church:

Believer’s Baptism – If you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and have not yet been baptized by immersion, we invite you to follow Christ’s example through believer’s baptism. Baptism is a public declaration of your faith and obedience to Christ, symbolizing the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus (Romans 6:4). It is a joyful step of commitment, and we would be honored to celebrate this moment with you.

Statement of Faith – If you have already been baptized by immersion following salvation but are not currently a member of another Baptist church, you may join by a statement of your faith in Christ. This means affirming your salvation and baptism as biblically valid. As part of our church family, we will walk together in faith, encouraging and strengthening one another in the Lord (Hebrews 10:24-25).

Letter from Another Baptist Church – If you are a member of another Baptist church of like faith and order, you may join by transfer of letter. This process is a formal way of affirming your previous membership while uniting with our congregation. As members of the body of Christ, we are called to grow together in love and service, “bearing one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ” (Galatians 6:2).
No matter how you join, we ask that you prayerfully consider the commitment of church membership, knowing that you are not just joining an organization—you are becoming part of a spiritual family. Together, we will serve, worship, and grow in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If you are interested in joining Calvary Baptist, please speak to Bro. Davy. The process is simple—come forward during the invitation at the end of a worship service, and you will be presented to the church. The congregation will then affirm your decision to join at that time. We would love to welcome you into our church family!
